The Transportation Relief and Mobility Support Project was launched in response to the immense challenges faced by residents of Gaza in moving around after the destruction of roads and public transport infrastructure due to war. Easing people’s mobility is a noble act highly encouraged in Islam.
Through this project, Midan Association for Brotherhood and Solidarity aims to restore mobility for Gaza’s residents by rehabilitating damaged transportation routes and providing safe, affordable transport options. The project also supports public transport drivers whose vehicles were damaged or destroyed, helping restore their livelihood and the community’s access to essential services.
As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Every act of kindness is charity” [Agreed upon], every contribution to facilitating people’s movement becomes a form of ongoing charity that benefits all.
